Ottawa

Steven D. Bottoms, 56, Ottawa, was cited Friday in the 1500 block of Chestnut Street on complaints of driving while suspended, improper use of registration and no insurance. Bottoms was released on I-bond.

Dylan Holland, 20, homeless, was cited Sunday in the 900 block of Paul Street on complaints of trespass to state-supported land, unlawful consumption of alcohol and resisting a peace officer.

Dean E. Towne, 58, homeless, was arrested Saturday in the 1100 block of Canal Street on a failure to appear for domestic battery. Towne was taken to the county jail.

Karen M. Haeberle, 62, Ottawa, was arrested Saturday in the 1500 block of La Salle Street on complaints of DUI and disobeying a traffic control device. Haeberle was released on a $100 bond and forfeited her driver’s license.

Streator

Streator police responded at 3:29 p.m. Sunday for a report of theft in the 300 block of Chicago Street. The incident remains under investigation.

Streator responded to 941 calls for service, issued 26 citations, issued 144 verbal warnings and made 12 arrests in November.

Fire calls

Ottawa firefighters responded at 4:10 p.m. Friday to Fox High Rise Apartments, 906 Canal St., for a fire alarm caused by cooking smoke.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 7:26 a.m. Saturday to 400 E. Stevenson Road for a report of a power pole arcing. Firefighters found the protective fuse link on a transformer was tripped and Ameren was notified.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 1:07 a.m. Sunday to 900 Paul St. for a fire alarm caused by cooking.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 11:55 a.m. Sunday to 4115 Holiday Lane for a fire alarm activated by a child.

Streator firefighters responded at 3:21 p.m. Sunday to 609 N. Everett St. for an alarm set off by cooking.

Streator firefighters responded at 1:47 p.m. Sunday to 29 Northpoint Drive for smoke coming out of a light ballast.
