Festival of Some Lights

November 29th, the City of Ottawa held its much-awaited Festival of Lights Celebration on a beautiful night, unlike the last years’ rain.
The turnout was spectacular, with a multitude of brightly lit floats and small groups of local school performers. Candy tossed as the children and adults eagerly awaited Santa to arrive and light up Washington Park with its glorious light display that will illuminate the surrounding sky.
The Grinch and the Griswalds guided Saint Nick to his house located next to the park. As the crowd gathered in tight with cameras out and aimed up, the countdown began to delight the young and old. ottawa festival of lights
3-2-1 lights, or at least some Holiday lights appeared.
Sadly the brightly lit trees of years past were unfortunately just that, the lights of years past — remarks of disappointment along with anger of let down after much anticipation.
Immediately it was apparent the masses were not happy, within minutes of confusion and questions the crowd disperses.
The parade video and the lighting of the trunks will be available on Ottawas Own TV Monday morning. Available on ROKU, YouTube and Amazon Firestick and OOTVs website.
